Oct. 18, 2012: Great California Shakeout The annual Great California Shake Out earthquake drill for 2012 will be Thursday October 18 at 10:18 a.m. The Village Green Safety Committee encourages you and/or your court to participate by signing up at ShakeOut.org/California. Why is a "Drop, Cover & Hold" drill important? As with anything, to act quickly you must practice often. You may only have a few seconds to protect yourself. You may want to exercise other aspects of your emergency plan:
